The Problem and the Answer

The Universal Problem

There is a reality that must be acknowledged, in every nation, on every continent, in every generation. The world has been marked by disorder through sin — beginning with the deception of Satan, and the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden (Genesis 3). That condition has extended through every generation since, touching individuals, families, and nations alike.

This is not the failure of one culture or one era. It is the universal problem, and no nation, however advanced or however ancient, has stood outside of it. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Sin entered through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all (Romans 5:12). No system of governance, however wisely constructed, can legislate this condition out of the human heart.

The Universal Solution: Jesus Christ

But the problem is not without an answer. That answer is found in Jesus Christ.

He entered the human condition as both God and man — not only to reveal truth, but to restore what had been broken (John 1:14). Through His life, His sacrifice, and His resurrection, He made a way for reconciliation between God and every nation, every people, every person (Hebrews 9:12; 1 Peter 2:24).

He is the answer to sin. He is the restoration of what was lost. He is the fulfillment of truth (John 14:6). Where the disorder of sin fractures nations from within, He offers the one restoration strong enough to reach the root of the fracture, rather than merely managing its symptoms.

This is the order of things: the problem is universal, and so the solution must be as well. No nation writes its way out of this condition through policy alone. The remedy was never political. It was always personal, and it was always Christ.

What sin fractured in every nation, Christ alone is able to restore.

“For God so loved the world.” — John 3:16
